Even the most low-information voter will know there were no witnesses...

...and that there was no fair trial in the Senate.

Republicans are not going to be successful in spinning that any other way.

Democrats will not need any long explanations. They will only need to remind voters that there were no witnesses permitted and it was not a fair trial. That will be a paramount issue in the next election. Republicans will not be able to change that.

If there are other revelations, and most people would bet on it, it will be a heavy load for Repubs to carry.

That is the political reality.

Not unless we keep reminding them of this in TV ads, print, and online. Using words and ideas they can understand. Likening this sham to 1984 means nothing to them. Tell them the story in ways that resonate with them as lower middle class people. As farmers. As small town residents. As Christians.

Sure, that Budweiser ad was good. Diverse Americans. That may work selling beer. It probably won't work selling fearful white voters on a Democratic field consisting of a Jew, a couple of women, a billionaire, a long-time politician, a gay guy, and a Chinese guy.

This is going to take a strong, smart, concerted effort.

The ad Bill Maher showed what's possible.

The Lincoln Project ads are great. But they need to come out literally every day, targetted well, consistent. In the same way that the Russians used micro-targetting in 2016, so does the Lincoln project need to do the same today. Get them to be so prevalent that the MSM covers them as a news event. They need to be everywhere. FB is not going to go away. Let's use it better than the Russians. And not only against Trump. McConnell, Collins, Murkowski, Booker, Portman, et al. Every single day. I call on Tom Steyer, Mike Bloomberg, and other less visible Democratic billionaires to fund this endeavor.

The republican lawyers, senators own statements can be used as fuel for the debate. They admit he did wrong but not wrong enough. So spank his smallish hands. The Democrats then could use that as election fodder...an impeached man...censured...written across tons of political ads.

I was shocked that Republicans didn’t at least appear to care about optics in voting the way they did. Just shows the death grip that the Orange one has over the party. I truly expected another Kavanaugh like half hearted attempt at the truth but they didn’t even do that. Stunning

To see if they even know what Trump's impeached for.

Or that he is impeached.
