As a acquaintance whom worked the Hill a few decades ago once said,never Threaten a Staffer,it will come back to bite you in ways you will never see coming. These are the folks who draft and write every piece of Legislation,and those whom threatened someone,well,justice will be buried in some new Legislation.

I was going to say Schiff is not unsung, but, duhh, you were talking
about the unsung staffers in the windowless room.

4. Yes,they do the research,

make the phone calls 24/7. The most important think is making sure that their Bosses have all the timely info. Plus they are the gate keepers as to any and all legislation. My acquaintance went DC as a unpaid Intern one Summer between Semesters and was hired on full time by a Wisconsin Congressman and Put in more than thirty years when his Boss retired he did the same,his comment was,could have stayed on as a House Staff Researcher,but,the Tea Bagger who took his Boss's District was hell bend on purging all those hired by earlier Dems.

And yes,Staffers do run the show,and Adam Schiff as well as other Democratic Congress Persons makes sure that their Committee Staffers are protected .
