The Republicans' "OMG, DUH!" defense:

"If Donald Trump is convicted and removed, he won't be on the ballot in November!"

OMG, DUH!

If he's prosecuted and convicted for his many crimes, he'll go to prison and we don't be able to play golf!

If the courts order him to make restitution for all his grifting profits while in office, he'll be flat broke and unable to afford "hair care"!

If he is penniless, his offspring may not be such "attentive" children!

If be is placed in "gen pop" in prison, he may, for the first time in his life, find that there are immediate painful consequences to being an arrogant asshole!

DU-U-U-H!

They don't sell that particular shade of orange makeup in the prison commissary.

Priorities, man.

Since Republicans forwent any primary, that would leave them up in the air for President. That had to be a weighing decision for them. Why hadn't I considered. But then, I didn't go that far because I never thought the Senate would do the right thing.
