eta: for the record, this is just meant to be cathartic gallows humor.

in truth, i wouldn't wish lung cancer or any other cancer on anyone.
my grandfather got lung cancer (never smoked a day in his life) and did, in fact, opt for something quicker.
my mother literally had to clean his brains off the wall.
