I have the skills, but I know many of you at DU can help me if you will. I will credit you. I won't monetize because I only have 450 or so subs, but I do have social media to share my work with like DU, Twitter and FB. You guys have supported me over the years (and sent a few trolls my way but eff them).

I just need fresh ideas and collaborators.

23. Have you read any of Lakoff or neuromarketing?

I guess as a starting point for suggestions I’d point you to that... focusing on how to get through persuasively to the audiences you want to target. There’s so much open field because our communications are not being done professionally... IMO our various political leaders are focused on other things when potent messaging matters so much... we desperately need great messaging.

If you can bear to watch faux news, you’ll get ideas from that the for trying to reach folks who are well-intentioned but brainwashed. They repeat the same themes constantly, so just figure out a neuro way to break through their running memes (almost entirely derisive takes and false facts). What would these viewers find persuasive? Are there any neutral references outside sources they’d believe? Why do they believe climate change is a hoax, for example, though scientists are uniformly sounding the alarm? If you could figure out that one and punch it with a vid, that could make a big difference.

And/or you could focus on getting out the vote for folks who either never vote or only sometimes vote. What would get through to them? Believing their vote matters - proving that in a vid - and, importantly, believing there’s a difference between the Dems and rethugs... so many people shrug off politics, saying it doesn’t make a difference. That’s an argument we’ll have a harder time making if Bloomberg is our nominee, but whatever, we have to make that arg.

Emotions... start the vid by opening the viewer’s hearts... compassion... then the message is more likely to get in. Appeal to whatever your target audience’s likely values are.

Just throwing down some thoughts here... the vid you have posted is good for what you’re trying to communicate, so what else do you want to communicate?
