it's been a while but I think that colored game pieces are used. Marbles are used for Chinese checkers, though. I used to get them mixed up when I was a young adult, though I played those games as a kid.

pieces you mentioned. Haven't played that game in decades. Played Chinese checkers not too long ago so I remembered that it has marbles. In fact, I made a Chinese checkers board once... that's more likely why I remember that part!

... make up your own. That's how Monopoly and Scrabble were created, I think.
