'Disgusting': Jim Acosta slammed for accusing Rush Limbaugh of 'racism' after Medal of Freedom award

They're delusional. I thought what Acosta said was very mild, considering where he could have gone.

'Disgusting': Jim Acosta slammed for accusing Rush Limbaugh of 'racism' after Medal of Freedom award

Conservatives slammed CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta for his reaction to President Trump awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh.

“He was trying to make appeals to the African American community,” Acosta, 48, observed about Trump's State of the Union address Tuesday night. “It can’t be forgotten he was awarding the Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh, who has a history of making derogatory comments about African Americans. So I think, you know, overall it’s a wash.”

Fox News host Laura Ingraham, a friend of Limbaugh, was outraged over Acosta's accusation, calling the CNN personality "disgusting."

"Jim Acosta is disgusting. That is a disgusting comment. Disgusting comment and false," Ingraham stated in defense of Limbaugh, who recently announced he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. "Every time they lose, they cry racism. Every time they lose, they say, 'You're a mean, horrible xenophobe.' It's insult after insult. What they accuse Trump of ... is what they do routinely."

"That's right," her guest Republican Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise said.

ESPN fired him for this crap. Rush's the only reason the media thinks Donovan McNabb is a good
player is because they want to support a black man.

************

Before McNabb led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 23-13 victory
over the Buffalo Bills, Limbaugh said on ESPN's "Sunday NFL
Countdown" that McNabb is overrated. However, Limbaugh injected his comment with racial overtones that have set off a controversy.

"Sorry to say this, I don't think he's been that good from the get-go," Limbaugh
said. "I think what we've had here is a little social concern in
the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback
do well. There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a
lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn't
deserve. The defense carried this team."

BTW McNabb was 6 times all pro in the NFL and set records @ Syracuse that still stand.

Remember his "Sunday NFL Countdown"?

PHILADELPHIA -- Donovan McNabb has been to three straight Pro Bowls and two consecutive NFC championship games, and was runner-up for NFL MVP in his first full season as a starter.

Still, commentator Rush Limbaugh saw fit to question the quarterback's credentials.

Before McNabb led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 23-13 victory over the Buffalo Bills, Limbaugh said on ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown" that McNabb is overrated. However, Limbaugh injected his comment with racial overtones that have set off a controversy.

"Sorry to say this, I don't think he's been that good from the get-go," Limbaugh said. "I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. I remember Tom Jackson saying that when Rush was hired he received a lot of emails not just with peoples’ opinions but with hard evidence of Rush’s racist crap. Jackson, if memory serves, said that he forwarded those to ESPN management and express his own incredulousness at the hire.

FOX folks do that a lot. They claim "the race card" is being used against them, so they can play the victim while being racists. And that is *their* race card.

we should always remember that his first and fondest love was, is, and always will be misogyny.

no matter how horrible he is towards minorities, it will never quite reach the level of hatred he has towards women.

there's a reason his audience is 70% male....

the years of racism and misogyny, and chucking the "Presidential Medal of Freedom" at him doesn't balance it out, either. Neither does him getting lung cancer. Bad things can happen to bad people, but that's not "a wash". Ingraham and Scalise can go boil their heads, of course.
