I am very curious about the timing of the Rush thing.

Rush waited until the very last second of his show on Monday to make his announcement of his cancer And on Tuesday, he is up there getting a medal?


Option A is that the White House learned about it Like everybody else 3 p.m. On Monday and scrambled To contact him to see if he would come up and accept the medal.


Option b is that Rush wasn't going to make the announcement But somehow worked out a deal with the White House ahead of time that if he did make the announcement they would bring him up and give him the medal, but they wouldn't be able to do it Without the announcement.



However, it happened it sure doesn't seem spontaneous like spur-of-the-moment. My guess is that there was some kind of deal worked 4 weeks ahead of time behind the scenes where everybody knew Rush was sick And people were trying to figure out how to use it to his best advantage.

is the why of "why now?". People do go years maybe with some symptoms but not thinking it's cancer. Happened to a relative who had an IG condition along with some leg pain. When they finally went to a doc to get the leg pain treated, the surgeon found cancer that had spread throughout the body. It was only a few months later my relative passed away after the side effects of the treatments proved just too hard on them.
