Sen. Mitt Romney excoriates Trump and will vote to convict (VIDEO)

Mitt Romney did not pull any punches as he said he would vote to convict President Trump. He said that the president’s council did nothing to prove that the president did not commit an impeachable offense.

4. I have not been a fan of Romney until today. His speech was refreshing, yet difficult to give since

it seemed to involve a great deal of soul and heart. It was also refreshing to see a senator stand up for what he believed and to expose himself to unfathomable shunning in the future. I think it is important that as many as possible stand behind him in his decision and maybe that will make the Republican senators realize they are not honoring their oath by acquitting Trump.

My main problem with Romney was his method of making his wealth. I once worked for a company where a hatchet man came in and closed our division down. It was horribly painful and I will never forget them. That aside, Romney showed us today that he has a conscience and is willing to stand behind it. If anyone had the thought that he wanted to run for POTUS, it is obvious that after today, he doesn't have a party to back him. let alone the fight to run. That said, I believe he is being sincere and kudos to him.

Imagining the look on Trump's face is worth a ton. Thank you, Mitt.

P.S. I just saw a tweet from Don, Jr., in which he said Romney should be expelled from the GOP. Here we go.

Romney announces he running for POTUS, and it would be simply to peel off enough voters to not give Trump a chance.

our democracy. We should be standing firmly, wherever and whenever and as loudly as we can, for PRINCIPLE. Besides the great evidence and presenting of facts that Adam Schiff did, perhaps his greatest statement was "Right Matters". Yes, it does. And that should the defining message of the Democratic Party. That or something like "Do the Right Thing." Can't go wrong with those, but they must be said. They must be acted upon. They are self-evident, but they must be stated, especially in times of misinformation and disinformation like this one.

Regardless of the safety of Romney's Senate seat, he has done an honorable deed, and his life will not be pleasant.

Mitch should run for President and help us get rid of Trump by getting some of the votes that would go to One-Ton Don.
