The big battle is still November. There will be lots of skirmishes leading up to that Armageddon of the U.S.

(26,168 posts)by the facts as Bolton's book come out in 5 weeks. The majority of citizens wanted to see evidence and hear witnesses, and they will learn everything the Repubs were trying to hide regardless.
Remember in November, folks.

(167,153 posts)I.e., for Article 1, it was "bipartisan".
greatauntoftriplets
(178,701 posts)They've been whining about that for weeks. Yes, I know they're Republicans.
Now waiting for him to go after Romney.
BumRushDaShow
(167,153 posts)then what THEY think is not important. It's what their "audience of one" thinks - and it is playing as "not exonerated unanimously".
AND the Democratic Caucus held fast, which makes it worse, regardless of the outcome, because all the media assumed that (D)s would lose at least one Senator and thus the "acquittal would be bipartisan", which didn't happen.
And I wouldn't worry about RMoney. He is a very wealthy Vulture Capitalist, so he is no milquetoast. In fact anyone who does that type of business is vicious as hell. Plus he grew up with a father who was a governor so he knows all about "politics".
greatauntoftriplets
(178,701 posts)But we're all in a terrible position, a terrible time really, and I fear for our future.
BumRushDaShow
(167,153 posts)I'm usually a big pessimist but sometimes it is the "little moments" - like Pelosi's "clap" or her ripping up the speech - or something like this where the narrative was going to be "I'm completely, totally, unanimously exonerated" and that won't be able to happen.
So instead of a dozen crowing talking points, a bunch were removed.
All we can hope for is that we do even more this November than we did in 2018. The Presidential elections tend to have higher turnouts anyway and 2018 was actually unprecedented in terms of "mid-terms" for turnout. So it's critical that it gets overwhelming this November.
greatauntoftriplets
(178,701 posts)But I'm also very tired and it apparently gets worse when I'm like that.
