Good for you Mitt. I voted for Obama when you ran in 2012, but I will give you a lot of credit for your vote. You could have taken the cowardly exit like so many other Republican Senators, but you chose to cast a righteous vote and will be the lightening rod for incredible Republican hate. A profile in courage.

3. Not necessarily true that he has more courage

The difference in him and Lindsey Graham is that, while Utah is almost 70% Republican, trump’s approval margin is low single digits. The Mormons, unlike their Protestant brethren, take personal morality seriously. So most Utah voters would likely side with Romney over Trump, even though they can’t bring themselves to vote Dem in November.
In SC, most Repubs have about a 10 point advantage in general elections, but being attacked by Trump can cost you a third of your base and insure that you will lose the primary.

I have no doubt that Trump could cost Lindsey the nomination if he chose to.
