You know, I'm starting to notice that the people who were outraged at folks celebrating the OJ acquittal and the people currently celebrating the #Dolt45 acquittal seem to be the exact same people. #SelfAwarenessNotYourStrongSuit

(18,497 posts)However the prosecution did not prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt.
You don't convict someone of murder on a "probably."

(3,784 posts)I came to this conclusion after seeing people who were actually celebrating Trump's acquittal. One of which is a cop who was outraged that people would actually celebrate a murderer (OJ) being found not guilty. Went on this long diatribe at the time about how could the jury possibly have ignored all the evidence and voted to acquit anyway, they must have had their minds made up before they even sat down, etc. And after all that, is now celebrating the fact that the Republican Senators ignored all the evidence, had their minds made up before they even sat down, and voted to acquit, etc. And now YOU, the one who was outraged at people celebrating that OJ was acquitted, are now celebrating that Trump was acquitted.
The parallel I was drawing was that if you look at all the people who couldn't believe that folks would actually celebrate OJ's verdict because it was such a miscarriage of justice, and you look at the people celebrating Trump's verdict today, they're the same people.
