especially when they appear on cell phones. I can read the text just fine, thank you very much, so it isn't my vision that makes them hard to decipher.

At the risk of sounding like a cranky Mr. Wilson, express yourselves with your damned words! Surely the laziest among us can do at least THAT!

The term appears to have achieved national prominence in 1840, when supporters of the Democratic political party claimed during the 1840 United States presidential election that it stood for "Old Kinderhook", a nickname for the Democratic president and candidate for reelection, Martin Van Buren, a native of Kinderhook, ...

This one drives me crazy.

If I expect a response from you I'll say "Sherman A1, this is Recursion, over"

If I don't expect a response from you I'll say, "Sherman A1, Recursion out"

You are either over or out, you aren't both.

Just quit sending "thank you" emails. Unless you get a bounce message because it was undeliverable, just assume everyone gets their emails. Quit with the "thank you" or "roger" or "okay" or "copy that."

When I am installed as Dictator for Life by unanimous acclamation of humanity, those e-mails will subject the sender to the death penalty, which will be administered right swiftly. I could be installed on that plank alone, but I have other programs, at least one having to do with ads and unsolicited phone calls sent to cell phones. Punishments for offenders and carriers who don't block the offenders will be tough but fair. And in certain particularly egregious cases, public.
