Still consider him their useful idiot. Barr, Bannon, Miller et al.

At some point, even perhaps right now, he will break his bonds and burn it all down.

So many Rs think they can still control him, but he is already far down the path to madness.

This will not end well for him and for them. Hopefully they won't drag us all into the pit with them.

Very scary and these messages from Bandy Lee is a serious alarm of how bad things are and will become.

The speech was the most appalling and disgusting and disturbing speech ever given in the White House but you would never know that from Andrea Mitchell, Chris Matthews, Chuck Todd and the other talking heads including the Wash Post WH reporter who said how much his supporters love it when he goes off script.

He is mentally unbalance and they treat this as just normal Trump talk. Maybe the media is infected too. I am sick of them all.

their script was to repeat the nonsensical Gallup pole and claim Trump's approval rating had increased. They're back to re-election mode. The narrative should be "why are serious people not telling him he has to resign?".

I watched them immediately after the "speech," and they were stunned by what they just witnessed. Tweety went so far as to say that tRump's threats against Romney was "the talk of a dictator."

Where is Jeff Sessions?

Where is Dan Coates?

Where is Rex Tillerson?

Where is Don McGhan?

Where is General McMaster?

Where are all the people that Trump has either fired, pushed out or have otherwise resigned over him?

WHERE ARE THESE FREAKING PEOPLE!?!?

They had every opportunity to go to McConnell, Romney, Graham... any Senior GOP congressperson and tell them this man HAS TO BE REMOVED.

But nobody did.

Why?

and I wouldn't be surprised if McConnel et. al. told them to go fuck themselves every time they did.

They should all definitely have gone to the press, repeatedly - but perhaps they all felt it was worthless because they knew the Senate would never do anything about it, anyway.

Had the press not stayed silent, Reagan probably would not have won a second term. I’m not sure who was actually running the country during that second term, but Reagan was asleep for much of it. In a book written years ago, Leslie Stahl acknowledged that she and other reporters knew that Reagan was deteriorating mentally, yet they said nothing to the public. Today’s media is doing the same, keeping Trump’s mental instability out of the public eye. I don’t expect them to report that he is mentally unstable because only a doctor can do that, but they need to stop portraying him as a perfectly normal president who just does things differently. The job of oresident is too i,portant to have a psychotic in charge.

Thu Feb 6, 2020, 04:59 PM
Feb 2020

They just can't if they call themselves a news organization. Without any factual evidence, or even a testimonial from a doctor who has examined him personally, they just can't.

What I would love, however, would be one of those CNN specials about the topic of mental illness that focused on the symptomatology that he is demonstrating. Or a documentary about cults, or dictators, or propaganda techniques. I don't see why they don't do that.

Minor semantic issue.

As a psychiatrist who graduated from Harvard Medical School, I should point out that Dr. Lee is a Yale Bulldog.

I happen to agree with her diagnoses of the Sociopath-in-Chief.
