"SNIP.....

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff told MSNBC that former National Security Adviser John Bolton refused to submit a sworn affidavit on President Trump’s dealings with Ukraine after the Senate rejected additional witnesses and documents.

Said Schiff: “So for whatever reason, he apparently was willing to testify before the Senate but apart from that, seems intent on saving it for his book. He’ll have to answer for that.”

.......SNIP"

Don't know how these deals work but perhaps he agreed to not divulge anything substantive from the book until publication unless subpoened by Senate in order to get his multimillion dollar deal

What's the point of saying "under penalty' if there is no penalty?
Seems more like a limp invitation. Did they say pretty please?
C'mon.

If he really cared about this country, he would have come out and told the truth during impeachment... I hope they subpoena him and call his bluff about willing to testify. What yet another GOP POS...

Gained a few news cycles.
Got some free book publicity.
LOST BIGLY in the pocketbooks of most would-be-buyers of his book.

Along with most of my friends and acquaintances .... we'll wait.

13. Of course Bolton refused to give an affadavit. The offer to testify in front of the Senate

was no more than hollow strategising, because he knew he wasn't going to be called. Offering to testify put his name on everyone's lips for days on end, giving him mountains of exposure for which he didn't have to pay a penny. It's been all about the publicity and profit from his book every step of the way.

Bolton, patriotic? No. He is a venal rat.
