Republicans attacking Romney too hard could drive a wedge between the GOP and Mormons

Half of my family is Mormon so I know a little bit about how they think. Mormons stick together like family and Republicans are attacking Romney's faith HARD. Trump's brownshirts are attacking the Mormon religion with a vengeance right now on-line calling it a cult and much worse. Just go to the youtube comment sections covering his vote on impeachment. This could be the beginning of a wedge between Mormons and Republicans and a lot of Mormons see what Romney did as the fulfilment of a Mormon prophecy.

Mormon White Horse Prophecy

Latter Day Saint Church founder Joseph Smith went to Washington, DC, in November 1839 in an unsuccessful attempt to obtain help for his persecuted followers.[7] Pat Bagley of the Salt Lake Tribune wrote that from then on, Smith and his followers "considered themselves the last Real Americans" and "the legitimate heirs of the pilgrims and Founding Fathers," who would be called upon one day to save the US Constitution.[8][9] Smith is believed to have said in 1840 that when the Constitution hung by a thread, Latter Day Saint elders would step in "on the white horse" to save the country.[9]

Utah which is normally one reddest states in the country has actually had Trump underwater in recent polling. You have to move the bar to the right at the link. In October he was negative 3 in Utah: https://morningconsult.com/tracking-trump-2/

It certainly is an odd way of conducting a campaign in an election year.

I meant a wedge placed between them and a group of believers in numbers.

Wonders never cease.

Election I every participated during our 12 plus years living in Utah, the best our Democratic Party ever did was a whopping 32% of the vote. So,unless the Bishopric tells is Members otherwise, nothing changes. It is brutal just getting a Dem on any ballot of any kind. It took four tries for a Lady Friend to finally win a set on our local City Council and that was just because of her being in the right place at the right time when the Council happened to have several Members retire and her name was a familiar name on the ballot.

So when the GOP goes after Romney, they are biting the Bankers hand that feeds their Campaigns.

Old Boy Network in the City we lived in Utah did win a City Council Seat by convincing enough Mormon Women to vote for her. Just enough to win by a handful.

Mark my words. Mitt did a great job running the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics and they haven’t forgotten it in UT.

He's been hitting hard at LDS (I have my own grievances about the religion but that's aside from this issue which presents some of the things I can't argue with about the religion), and he has been brutal to the intel community which, probably unbeknownst to him, is that a lot of the intel community comes from the LDS community. They have lots of agents from the Utah/Idaho area. So he's really whacking a the literal beehive with a club, he will be stung by the professionals in the hive.

This is serious now that he has attacked religion, this could be and should be the last straw. I hope it is. There will be some religious folks who will still follow him but those who are honest in their faith will not.

This gets so damn old. Merry Fitzmas , ITS MUELLER TIME!!!!

From Gingrich to Palin to tRump. How much mother fucking proof do you want that there is no low that a Repuke will accept.

If any republican has an epiphany, fine, it's a bonus. But why would any sane person expect 1% or 5% of any group who ever was a repuke to do the right thing?

Any person who was EVER a repuke, should not be counted on, EVER!!
