in my half of the march, I would have estimated 5 to 10 thousand. How many were there do you think?
i was disappointed, but maybe i was wrong!

Mr. nclib didn't think there were as many as last time we went (which was a couple of years ago). I think after the week we just had with impeachment and sotu everyone is just exhausted. I know I am. Some days it's all I can do to keep going. I agree with the poll from yesterday on would you rather get hit by a meteor or have 4 more years of trump.

I know it was the year they got 80,000. it was not that many yesterday when I was there, but i think we missed the biggest part of the crowd possibly.

i was hoping it would be 160,000 - as tired as we are (and I struggle mightily with despair/ lack of hope/ helplessness), I just keep reminding myself and anyone who will listen that it was the people getting out there that got women the vote, that ended child labor and got us the 40 hour work week, that ended the Vietnam War, and more.

we need to do as much as we can.

anyhow - off to the DDW annual meeting!

We got there about mid march and stayed for the speakers after. There were many speakers including Rev. Barber. I would say they ended around 1:00 or a little after. By the time it ended many people had left. If you were there for the march, I would think you were there for the biggest part of the crowd. I was also struck by the lack of march posters and signs. I did see a lot of people holding Bernie signs though.
