Um... yikes. (Climate change)

GO GREEN @ECOWARRIORSS

#Climate crisis Massive hole opens up under #Antarctic Thwaites glacier, 6 miles long, 1,000 feet deep —
a loss of some 14 billion tons of ice
its collapse will lead to catastrophic sea level rises of 2 feet and additional 8 feet from neighbouring glaciers

I think iceland is looking at the loss of a harbor because the water level is getting too low for ships.

I think I understand that as the glaciers melt...the land rises due to the decrease in pressure of the heavy weight of the ice so locally the ocean level 'declines'.

Which means that the average rise is hiding the fact that its not going to be a uniform rise....so east coast of USA will have higher than average rise in ocean level... so we are underestimating the amount of land which will become inhabitable
