I shouldn't have fallen for it, but a story came across my Google news page titled:
U2 Singer Bono Stunned By ‘Terminal Diagnosis’
As a big U2 fan, I clicked to read, dreading some horrible news.
Turns out, it was purposefully deceptive, here's a snip of the story:
U2 frontman, the conscience capitalist Bono recently discussed his new position as a board member of Zipline, a medical delivery drone company that could potentially help those with terminal diagnoses. Bono’s daughter tight corset photo stuns U2 fans.
The U2 singer told FastCompany.com, “So Keller’s 12. And I was in Malawi, in Lilongwe, and I was watching people be diagnosed HIV positive and then being told that there was no treatment for that.”
“They’re making distance disappear,” Bono later said about drones being able to deliver medication. “And they put people at the center of their commercial model, which I think is also something we think about a lot in The Rise Fund—that commerce should serve people and not the other way around.”
He later continued: ““This great line by this great leader that I have always held to be true—which is ‘the moral arc of the universe is long, but it bends towards justice,’—I no longer believe that to be true. It does not bend towards justice, it has to be bent towards justice. It has to be pushed and pulled. If you’re a scientist, if you’re an entrepreneur, if you’re a singer in a band, everybody’s got to find their place in that.”
