Russian bots have been attacking Occupy Democrats for months, automatically posting identical messages meant to divide Democrats on every post, such as the one posted below. We try to ban them as soon as we catch them, but they simply create new dummy accounts. Please ignore messages that say “anyone but Biden” or “anyone but Bernie,” etc. We have reported this organized propaganda effort to Facebook and reporters at the Times, but no one seems to care.

2. The bots, trolls and subversives are getting more subtle.

And more numerous.

They are almost human . . .

But given what this forum is all about, any negativity expressed towards any democratic candidate should be treated with suspicion.

They are entitled to their opinion, no matter the motivation behind it. And you are encouraged and entitled to ignore them. The fact-less negativity is easy to spot.

like cornered animals and are lashing out viciously. They know that the country is becoming more diverse, more Democratic, and that scares the crap out of them, so they're going to do anything to try to preserve their power.

And what is making everything so very much worse and so incredibly dangerous is: anonymity. Just like hood-wearing members of the KKK, they feel emboldened by the anonymity of the Internet. How this can be addressed without becoming China, I don't know.
