How long do we get to keep our hearts?

It has been such a positive experience. I'm wondering if the powers-that-be would let us keep them for an extra week?

We've had such bad news the past few weeks, and this has been so nice to share something good with each other.

I've had so much fun passing out hearts that I'm going to buy a second batch and keep going.

I am thinking about giving them to people who don't have any, even if I don't know them.

4. That's what I've been doing.

There are some people who are very special to me, and I give them hearts, unless they already have 30 or 40 of them. LOL!

I've never purchased hearts before, and this has been really fun to be able to do this anonymously.
I've been given hearts, and I have no idea who has done it, and it's really neat that we don't know.

Like I said in a thank you post I made, it's like getting a hug from fellow DU'ers.

I think Skinner, Earl G and Elad know that this is addictive. They got me hooked. I'm going to buy more hearts.

8. That's what I do with my hearts.

The "popular" kids (lol) here never have a problem gathering hearts. It's those who might be new or relatively unknown who get my heart(s).

So hearts will be around until about the 21st or 22nd, if my memory serves me correctly, and things are done the same way as the last couple of years. Anyway, that's my guess.

I thought they would disappear the day after Valentine's Day. I'm having too much fun with this. So I want to play for a while longer.

I checked the "How to give Valentine hearts to your DU friends" DU mail that everyone gets who purchases hearts, and it gave no clue how long this will last. Oh well.

I'm almost certain, from memory, though, that the hearts are displayed for a few days after the 14th.

It can be a negative for some people. Last year I purposely posted very little the entire time so that people wouldn't see how few hearts I had, like about one and then two for almost the entire week or however long (which of course is a vicious cycle since if one makes oneself almost invisible, it obviously reduces the chances of getting a heart). Near the end, I got a few more hearts, probably out of pity (kind of like "pity sex", ). This year I'm doing quite a bit better for this stage of the game (I think we're at the 2 1/2 day point as I write this, the Announcement was dated Feb 7 545 PM CT)
