“He got 44.8% in 2018. He suffered the worst electoral defeat in the House ever… but yet, the media is going, ‘Oh, he’s so strong, he’s so powerful, he’s so this.’ No he’s not!”

— James Carville, in an interview on MSNBC, on President Trump.

We have to not ignore but overwhelm the media drumbeat and we do this by being unified. "Stronger Together."

Press a new brand on the GOP. They’re CHEATERS.

The only way they can win is by CHEATING.

They CHEAT to win.

They can’t win unless they CHEAT.

The CHEATER Party.

And as always, REPEAT! REPEAT the damn MESSAGE, people! At least three times EACH time.

He CHEATS. They CHEAT. The GOP CHEATS. They’re the CHEATERS Party. (Oops, that was actually FOUR times repeating. Even BETTER!) They only win because they CHEAT! (Oops! FIVE times repeating! Even better STILL!) I could go on... so I’m GONNA!

Remember all the times Obama was asked what he was doing to work with Republicans and unite the Country after the Teabaggers were given unlimited time? Not a friggen peep out of them now that tRump is in the White House.

Where are the dissatisfied Repubs? My county, The OC, turned blue in 2018. Again not a peep out of the media as to what the Republicans are doing to recapture the lost base. Three million plus in the County. But I sure have seen concerns about WV with under 2 million voters.

NY Gov Cuomo said this week we need a better term than "infrastructure". Speaker Pelosi suggested "Growth". Short and simple.

We need the same brief term for voter suppression, dirty tricks, Russian interference and mind control. Something the public understands, that stays in their minds and makes them aware. So there's your assignment. Bloomberg would likely put an ad agency on the problem.

I'm coming up with Election Sabotage. Or Vote Sabotage.

Suggestions from all appreciated. We need something that cuts the confusion and focuses the minds like never before.

13. Election Sabotage! that is the perfect term
Mon Feb 10, 2020, 11:41 AM
Feb 2020

And it's better than Vote Sabotage because it is more systemic than messing with votes, because there are intrusions at every level that citizens, precincts, states, the nation, political parties, and the media interact with the electoral process. Which means that laws and law enforcement has to be shored up on every front. If offenses parallel to these rat-fucking, gerrymandering, manipulating activities were carried out across the financial sector, presumably people would be going to jail, amiright?

I am going to start using the term "Election Sabotage" all over the place. Until there are people in governmental positions who are actually motivated to carry out elections in a democratic fashion, the most important thing us lil' people can do is to get the messaging right.

What always turns my head inside out about this problem is that the incentive to fix the electoral machine seems to disappear once a politician is elected. Maybe not thru corruption or subscription to dirty trick ways, but because there are so many fires to put out when a decent person takes office. The only politician I think would make Election Sabotage priority number one upon being elected is Stacy Abrams.

Powerful people benefit from Election Sabotage so nothing is done about it.

Use the term, social media everywhere. Once the MSM picks up the term it will run with it. Everyone knows Democrats are trying to count every vote. But sabotage? It point the finger at the GOP and convicts them in the same term, dragging in all their methods.

Let's do it!!

And you might take a moment to find Stacy Abrams organization and convey the idea. We do need a simpler term for the scoundrel's methods we face every day.

Bloomberg would put an ad agency on it.

I have wondered for a long time why we have no media strategy. No generic ads along the way to highlight his malfeasance. I'd like to see a retreat with Mad Ave admen, psychiatrists, strategists, pollsters, media researchers, and big Hollywood $$. Come up with the best plan to defeat this monster.

At the very least, run some ads, raise awareness that GOP hasn't done a thing to stop Russian and Facebook interference. Dig up dirt from an untapped treasure trove - all the regs he has overturned. Know he's overturned Obama's reg to stop coal companies from dumping sludge into water. Sludge that contains proven cancer causing materials.

As for interference tho, have to be careful to not scare people into thinking their vote won't count, huh.

or save them for the 6 week push in October. Motivational tools.

And we use and recycle the same pollsters and PR people. They lose one year, 4 or 6 years later they're back in another similar capacity. They don't need a learning curve that way, but are they improving? Who will tell them? And if we hire someone UNtested, are they better or worse? No one knows. I guess they're like professionals of all kinds. You get "standard care". No litigation that way, and everyone gets paid.

Salute!

The American voter selected Hillary by a margin of 2.9 million.

A month later Trump was "elected" by 304 Republican Party loyslists hand-picked by its state level parties for their hyperpartisanship.

I don't dignify that farce with a word that wrongly implies he's the American people's choice.

...for the surprise that Trump ever won election in the first place. It seems so bizarre and incredible that few of us (myself included) know how to re-evaluate our sense of what seems likely and what doesn't in an election.

I don't even know if the people like Michael Moore who seemed certain that Trump would win were being especially smart, or if cynicism just randomly paid off.

Regardless of whether I understand how voters will vote, however, I do think I'm right to worry that Trump is "strong" in the sense that he's got more power now to illegally tilt the election in his favor.

..with friends like that who needs enemies! Fuck Maher..and I'm waiting for Michael Moore to start lathering praise on the predator-in-chief too--in his most recent podcast he at least sounded the alarm--not holding my breath though [imo Moore helped trump defeat clinton in 2016.]

What irks me is that they want it both ways--- he's a monster BUT then he's the best monster ever--they contradict themselves. Wait! I'm wrong they give him the affirmative first [which is what people remember] then they state the negative. What was Bill Maher 's lede--trump had his best week ever. I was done with Mahr when he gave kkknazi bannon a platfrom to spew his hate propaganda--I'm done listening, they either help us or get out of the fucking way!

We were all pretty certain of a blowout in 2016, and I think complacency might have kept a lot of voters home. If Democratic voters are on edge, thinking that every vote will absolutely count, we'll get a lot better effort and turnout. So maybe not such a bad thing... so long as the exaggeration isn't so extreme that people just give up.

I was half asleep but the impression I got was that he wants a candidate who pulls no punches and basically takes a battering ram to the thug. I don't know who that candidate is or if that's even the right approach. Is a "stronger strongman" the answer? Would anything less make somebody look "weak"? I prefer brains over brawn but don't know how many voters feel that way.
