Trump's been lying all along....
That's an increase of at least 36 cases from the end of January when the Pentagon said 64 service members had been diagnosed with injuries.
The Pentagon and President Donald Trump had initially said no service members were injured or killed in the Iranian missile attack, which was retaliation for the January 2 US drone strike that killed a top Iranian general.
Several Pentagon officials told CNN last month that the number of diagnosed cases is likely to continue to change. Approximately 200 people who were in the blast zone at the time of the attack have been screened for symptoms.

(18,598 posts)The precisely aimed, accurate Iranian missiles that were specifically targeted to avoid hitting American troops? There were many threads praising the Iranians for their restraint and demonstration of their weapons.
Was this a miss? Were they actually trying to kill a large number of Americans? Should we retaliate over this?
Does this explain why the Iranian military was so jumpy they shot a civilian aircraft, twice? Did they believe they had killed as many US troops as the Beirut bombing and the US was going to launch a heavy counterattack?

(10,749 posts)What makes it worse is that I think the US knew about the missile attack. As idiotic as it might have been, the Iranians needed to do this as a face-saving matter, or it could really have been worse. So, if the US knew of the attack, why were measures not taken to ensure that everyone would be safe.
Also, we need to know more about these injuries. Granted, any brain injury is dangerous, but there's difference between a "mild" concussion and a TBI that puts you in a long-term care facility for the rest of your life.
