It is true that in the Spring a lot of bacteria isn't spread as easily since more people go outside when it is warmer. It is as if you put info in his head and he spins it around and it comes out all wrong. His wires aren't connected completely.

I'm sure he actually believes this nonsense, because he's one of the most uneducated, ignorant people on the planet. Meanwhile, he cut three-quarters of a billion dollars out of the CDC funding also provides, and nobody seems to notice that. I really hope we survive this idiot, but it's not looking good, right now.

Last I heard, warm wet weather helps to spread diseases, not curtail them.

He must be consulting with Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson on this one...........

The virus structure breaks down in high humidity and spreads far less successfully. No idea if coronavirus is similarly impacted.

We are most always a nice 98.6 F unless we get sick and then we get a fever after which we cough and sneeze the virus back out into the environment.

I don't know how long the virus can live outside of its host, in what conditions, and in what manner it can infect a new host animal.

Again it has a year or two since I learned this stuff.

Thanx for the information

Oh yeah, those pesky side effects. The vaccine will probably have some silly name - like Fuzzbutt.

So, here's the disclaimer for the Fuzzbutt vaccine:

Fuzzbutt may cause serious side effects, including mono-mania, excessive selfishness, deterioration of your soul, double standards, unnecessary insults that aren't funny, liquefaction of your brain, deterioration of your soul, and general moral weakness, hand shrinkage, tie elongation, excessive vanity, cell phone ranting, lying about your golf score (initial symptom, which may lead to lying about anything and everything), producing chinless sons, possible near terminal Obama envy, and of course, outbreaks of orange.

Should any of these symptoms appear, contact your plastic surgeon immediately!

This is just the latest example of the game he plays with his coalition of imbeciles. Mark my words, he'll have another quote or tweet in a couple days either completely contradicting this one... or some event will occur that allows him to place blame and deflect.

The only groupings of his support that are solid despite his obvious shortcomings (failed policies, illegal acts, self-serving orders, lies and more lies) are stock market cheerleaders, anti-regulation corporates and anti-choice zealots. These three groups surely see the real tRump and don't care. They will support him no matter what because of his consistent fuel for their narrow interests.

Of course, the elected GOPuke legislators and governors at Federal and state levels will be vocally supportive at worst, or simply silent at best. This is simply and really because tRump's wrath can get them beat in a primary. As loathsome as we find him, his imbecile sheep will turn out in droves to defeat turncoats to tRump.

That leaves the real imbeciles--various groups that lap up his bullshit. These are largely pro-gun zealots, flag waving jingos, crazy rapture rushing evangelicals, and the racist white nationalist underbelly that permeates into these groups. To them, he talks out of both sides of his mouth so he and his minions will always be able to point to something he uttered or tweeted that turns out to be in the vicinity of accurate.

That's the game.

yes it is true that flu/cold season is worst in winder, per webmd:

The virus lives longer indoors in winter, because the air is less humid than outside.
While it's alive and in the air, it's easy for people to inhale it, or for it to land on the eyes, nose, or mouth.
We spend more time indoors and have closer contact with each other, which makes it easier for the virus to spread.

However we know NOTHING about whether those norms will hold true for coronavirus. so this "oh just ignore it, it will go away" is nonsense.
