View of Obama crowd in Iowa City

This is a lot of people standing in the rain!

A friend works in that red brick building in the background - they locked the building at 10:00, and everyone working inside had to be out at 3:30 (the Secret Service came around). There were police & SS guys all over, and he said they played "Roll with the Changes" by REO Speedwagon for the (very loud) sound check earlier this afternoon.

1. It's a shame that Obama has "lost steam" and people aren't interested in him any longer

I mean, this crowd is small in comparison to the crowd's he was pulling prior to '08.

It's obvious from this photo that he's losing his touch.

2. Obvious gap in enthusiasm. It's really too bad.

3. And, look at all those young adults.

He had to bribe them with promises of a college education and a bright future. Next he'll be offering foam fingers and baseballs.

10. I saw the same enthusiasm gap

... When Obama spoke in Urbandale, Iowa last weekend. It was so sad. There were only 10,000 people there according to Reuters.

Such a shame that Obama can't get people out to his rallies.
