There is no good reason to not pay a living wage. There's only excuses.

The economy is Consumer Spending + Investment + Government Spending + Exports - Imports. The economy is 2/3 consumer spending. You need to pay people enough to buy the goods and services that you can produce.

Not all jobs are 40+ hours a week. Some jobs have no benefits. Some jobs are for not for rent or groceries or transportation.

But if they are those things, they better pay a living wage, assholes.

Of white privilege. Middle class person with zero idea that it advantages them in any way to be born in it. Those jobs are for teens after school or those working themselves through college. They are also living back in times earlier than 1980. When you could pay for college with that and summer jobs.

These “conservatives” conserve their own money and let the social services provide the rest. The same social services they want to eliminate.

I once had a conservative in-law tell me that if they found a cure for cancer that it would put doctors out of work.

Not to hijack your OP, but it's the same idiotic influenced mentality. Luckily, this person is no longer an in-law to me.
