Truth be told I am fine with the entire line up and will be glad to vote for whichever one wins over the a-hole in the White House now.

(301 posts)Thats sort of how I feel too.
My main guy is Biden, but Amy/Warren would work great too.
Others? Yes, I can easily support all the other Dems.
But if it came to it, Bernie and Bloomberg would work too.
Need to keep an eye on the big picture.

(37,748 posts)Quite the contrary. It illustrates an engagement and investment in that big picture.

(53,544 posts)You don't just vote for your preference for President but also the state convention delegates in your district or county. And those state convention delegates vote for the delegates that go to the national convention from your congressional district.
As for usually decided... not necessarily this time.

(6,467 posts)we are voting for the candidates for all offices from President of the United States down to local magistrates and county commissioners.
The presidential candidate is usually wrapped up by our May primary. But those statewide and local races are still wide open.
Get Out And Vote!!!
Retrograde
(11,416 posts)besides president, my ballot has primary races for US Representative, State Senate, State Assembly, some local offices, and local propositions (we like to put as many contests as possible on the ballot.) I've pretty much decided on every one except president (down to 2) and state senate (need to read the voters' guide again)

(143 posts)And right now the polls agree with me.
Thinking that the dem nominee cannot win by anyone will just keep dems home and is WRONG.

(12,827 posts)He will cost us down ballot as well. This election is to important not to vote.

(10,891 posts)those wanting the most electable candidate to join me. I'm not sure who that is and will continue to watch what develops up to Super Tuesday before I make up my mind. All I care about at this point is the candidate who gives us the widest margin in battleground states against the orange anus, period.

(53,544 posts)The trigger that allows states to remove due to voter inactivity requires states to send forwardable address confirmation notices to voters believed to have moved. If they don't get a response they are to be removed no later than after 2 federal elections of not voting. Federal elections are the general elections held during even years. Primaries are not federal elections even if they include voting for federal officials.

(18,470 posts)They are a complete waste of time and a colossal thunder cluster fuck.
That said if Iowa dragged its ass out of the early 19th century and had primaries I would certainly vote in them.
