This is about some recent threads that keep on being thought provoking.
Haha, remember the olde days when wingnuts and their Vichy collaborators would mock us for comparing SHITLER to HITLER? Well, apparently some of them have been convinced enough now to shift their defense to: Quit freaking out, Germany *survived* HITLER!
And its in the air that SHITLER is gearing up to pardon Roger STONE, FLYNN, and MANAFORT. Well, two of those havent been sentenced yet, so we gotta wait for procedures, dont we? Although, why should there be ANY procedures left standing? Why not just skip the b.s. and go straight to the PARDONs?! Oh, and EXPUNGE all charges! And use the saved time to look for more Minorities children and heroes made desperate by their circumstances to be used as tools at the next State of the Union.
Those Founding Fathers were so BIG on checks and balances and on limits on power, haha! The jokes on them! They were silly to leave whatever few loopholes that they did (pardons, executive orders), never dreaming somebody would come along to exploit them to the max, haha, Old Sillies!!!!!!!!!!!

As for Orson BEAN, I was going to say when he died that he was the father in law of wingnut Andrew BREITBART, while not knowing more details such as whether the daughter was still married to him when he died or whether BEAN was actually of a wingnut bent without reference to whom the daughter married. My impressions of him from the few sightings on t.v. game shows were that he wasn't funny, had a self-impressed pretentious air, and that he was something of a Lib given the NY tv crowd he was in. And then in the posts about his death a DUer said that BEAN's father was a founder of the ACLU. So I decided to drop posting my suspicions of his wingnuttiness.
So today the car radio had LIMBOsevic back from a couple of his treatment days away, saying that he wanted to memorialize BEAN for being "a true Conservative." That on one of his first visits to the BEAN house, BREITBART had asked him why he had a copy of LIMBOsevic's book displayed openly and that BEAN had responded by pressing the book on him to read.
So, am feeling validated about my radar detection of wingnuts. Clues are that they aren't funny or top notch talented.

(3,276 posts)to remember Orson Bean when he was an actual liberal, and enjoyed his work then.
I knew he'd gone over to the dark side, but was never clear on how and when that happened. His wikipedia entry said he'd supported Nixon, so apparently it was a long time ago.
Anyway, I didn't want to say anything when people were grieving his loss.
But yeah, not on our side for years and years.
