Trump says "I have the absolute right" to tell the DOJ what to do...

https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/11/politics/donald-trump-roger-stone-justice-department/index.html?utm_source=twCNN&utm_medium=social&utm_content=2020-02-12T00%3A10%3A06&utm_term=link

CNN:

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he did not ask the Justice Department to change its sentencing recommendation for former campaign associate Roger Stone -- but that he had the "absolute right to" if he wanted.

Speaking in the Oval Office, Trump fumed against federal prosecutors who had recommended a seven- to nine-year sentence, which he deemed "ridiculous" and an "insult to our country."

"I thought it was a disgraceful recommendation," Trump said. "They should be ashamed of themselves."

Trump's comments came after three federal prosecutors withdrew from the Stone case after a decision by top Justice Department officials to reduce the government's recommended sentence for Stone, who was convicted on seven charges last year, including lying to Congress and witness tampering.

The acquittal gave him CARTE BLANCHE. End of story.

He will continue to state he has the "ABSOLUTE RIGHT" to ANYTHING he fucking pleases...

THIS is why I am really not so sure he's even going to let us have a Dem Convention or an election...He will find a way to strip us of that last right. Remember when Xi claimed he was President for LIFE and Trump said he LIKED that idea....? yeah, this whole dismantling of the Cabinet and other top positions has been the end game all along

They have a fair amount of leeway there but pretending the crime never happened probably isn't included in the range of options.

Our Lord has decided he gets to decide all court cases.

Just because you surround yourself with a bunch of fat-ass kissing toadies doesn't mean you have absolute power. What you are doing is immoral and illegal and one of these days you are going to pay for your attempt at undermining our democracy. And so will your enablers. It's just a matter of time.

Then we get to put in our guy and run the tables on the precedent for the next 8+ years.

When you look at it that way, repukes are getting shortchanged. They're stupid as fuck for allowing him to set the precedent.

Enjoy it while it lasts my anti-American criminal occupiers of the People's House, because payback's gonna hurt a little back there.
