like they are inevitable or just a fact of life? We already know about this, we know that Democrats care about it, but that Republicans and Trump don't and haven't done a damned thing to make Elections more tamper-proof, so why isn't THAT the real story here?!

but yeah, I guess it's cool to them if a foreign country is interfering in our elections- as long as it's for their boy. We all can pretty much guess how things would be portrayed if another country was helping out a Democratic candidate (which I wouldn't support either but it's something that none of ours would do, anyway)

The Tennessee senator did more than just block some election-security bills on Tuesday.

The Democratic minority tried to bring three election-security bills to the floor for a vote only to have the Republican majority block them in the person of Marsha Blackburn, Republican of Tennessee, and someone who is so full of hot air she probably has to be tied to the floor to keep her from floating to the top of the Rotunda. Blackburn, it should be noted, has had her own passing connection with the Volga Bagmen, largely through the intercession of the National Rifle Association. On Tuesday, though, because she doesn't know any better and doesn't care that she doesn't, she was a rock in defense of foreign interference in American elections. From The Hill:

Blackburn accused Democrats of trying to move the bills knowing that GOP lawmakers would block them and giving them fodder for fundraising efforts.

“They are attempting to bypass this body’s Rules Committee on behalf of various bills that will seize control over elections from the states and take it from the states and where do they want to put it? They want it to rest in the hands of Washington, D.C., bureaucrats,” she said.
