I have NO doubt about that.

And I think a part of their reason for liking Joe has nothing to do with politics. He's a nice, caring, compassionate, empathetic human being.

She is conservative, but because she has often personally known people running, her votes do not always reflect that. She personally liked Kerry and was impressed by his kindness to her dad when both worked on the POW MIA issue. Add to that GWB smeared her dad in the 2000 primaries.

without the racism. At that, FDR wasn't bad, and Eleanor was as woke as it was possible to be at the time and in the circumstances.

We need to recover and strengthen New Deal programs like Social Security - and Medicare Medicaid (not FDR, but in the spirit of the New Deal.) Think we can sell that?

I personally think that some other New Deal programs could benefit us from being brought back. The CCC, for instance, not to build roads and bridges and lavatories, but to build solar and windmill farms. Probably not to clean up superfunds themselves, but to take enough projects off the backs of the EPA so that it would have the resources to do it.
There are several which could beneficially be updated IMHO.

Trans fat is considered the worst type of fat you can eat. Unlike other dietary fats, trans fat — also called trans-fatty acids — raises your "bad" cholesterol and also lowers your "good" cholesterol.

A diet laden with trans fat increases your risk of heart disease, the leading killer of adults. The more trans fat you eat, the greater your risk of heart and blood vessel disease.

Our predicament is no laughing matter, nor should it be taken lightly. We laugh and ridicule at our own peril.

Shit is serious.

That said, mine is merely one opinion among many.
