Trump just put a 29-year-old fired for his alleged financial crimes

in charge of all personnel decisions

John McEntee, President Donald Trump's former body man who was fired in 2018 amid an investigation into his alleged financial crimes, will lead the Presidential Personnel Office, multiple news outlets reported Thursday.

Former White House chief of staff John Kelly forced McEntee out over issues with the young aide's security clearance. The issues were related to online gambling problems and mishandling of his taxes, the Wall Street Journal reported.

McEntee was also the subject of a financial-crimes investigation by the Department of Homeland Security.

McEntee was reportedly escorted out of the White House in March 2018 without being allowed to collect his belongings, including his jacket.

First Hope Hicks and now this guy. I don't know what's going on, but it sounds like he's getting personal minders back on staff.

To find people sleazy enough to replace the ones who left or who were fired, so they have to bring the old sleazes back.

The more vulnerable and threatened the Great Pumpkin feels, the more absolute loyalty become relevant and competence becomes irrelevant.

to help manage the mentally declining Donny Dollhands - she's like the only one left Trump can endure around him.

If so, then he should be allowed to come back. Please don't attack me for saying that - I represent federal employees, including those faced with the loss of their clearance, and if the issues are resolved they are supposed to get their jobs back.

But the article doesn't say if that's the case here. Still, I am not a fan of the way the article is worded - he was terminated for alleged crimes. If no crime has been established he shouldn't be punished just for an alleged crime.

We need to remember that if the standard for losing your job is just accusations and no proof, then no one would be in office. Too bad we didn't give Al Franken that benefit.
