He's just covering his ass for taking orders from Trump and doing Trump's bidding. This isn't a real rebuke of Trump and no one should treat it as such. This is just.. "Oh, I was going to do something about Roger Stone anyway, it had nothing to do with Trump." It's just a sliver of shielding their open corruption
