Acting Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection: stay home, people

”Instead of putting all your hope in coming to the United States,
put your hope in your own country. Maintain your hope in your
leaders. Support your community. Help build your country and
your future rather than leaving it behind.”

We might just find out just how much we do need immigrants.

As a citizen of the United States, I not only don't support immigration and sanctuary, I condemn the ulterior motives behind his statement and consider it to be an affront to basic, American values that are still relevant, especially considering that everyone here now, other than the indigenous tribes, are beneficiaries of immigration. It is still a melting pot.

We are largely a country of immigrants who took literally took it away from its native inhabitants. How does one explain the motivation for stopping it now?

The truth is, that, in a decade or two, (or maybe sooner) this rapidly aging country will eventually need, welcome and have inducements and incentives for immigrants of all kinds. We will have many more seniors and less young people to take care of them due to a shrinking population. There will be all kinds of shortages.

Swift guys! Swift! Tell the people your REAL agenda for a change.
