He is bringing in the old gang today because a reporter probably asked him to comment on a scandal those individuals have direct knowledge of that is going to break within the next 72 hours. He is preemptively bringing them back into the fold so he can claim executive privilege and keep them from cooperating or testifying.

And since he has been punching the State of New York today, it makes me suspect that New York state charges may be imminent.
