You see, I haven't offered much to DU for a while now. Mostly I have taken. I've depended on you to give me answers when I need them. I know if I am looking for something I will find it here. And boy, try asking a question, any question, and see how many answers you get!! It is always overwhelming!

I promise I will try to give you more this year than I take. No guarantees, though, because you guys are so darned smart. But I promise I will try.

5. It's easier than one might think

to be on the same board day after day as someone else and never actually run into them, see their name. That blows my mind - when I see someone with 20,000 plus posts and realize I have never had the opportunity to converse with them or even read one of their posts. It boggles the mind! Could that account for the perceived notion that nobody here even knows who we are?

My future ex husband sent me a valentine's text with the L (ove) word in it. I honestly thought it was meant for someone else (one of his girlfriends?) so I politely let him know that he had sent it to me by mistake. He messaged back to say that he had intended it for me. But added: Don't worry I'm still an asshole.
