6 year old girl on her way to 48 hour hold in mental facility and sedation.

Body camera footage released by Florida authorities show a 6-year-old girl calmly interacting with police officers in the moments before she is involuntarily placed in a mental health facility.

Martina Falk on Thursday demanded more information from Duval Public Schools after staff had her daughter, Nadia, committed for throwing a tantrum in her classroom at Love Grove Elementary School.

“I got a call saying that she is so uncontrollable they had to Baker Act her. They called me and they said ‘Ms. Falk we’re calling to let you know that there’s nothing we could do,’” she told News 4.

“There’s nothing else you could do for my 6-year-old? When she was taken to that hospital and locked away in a seclusion room? They said they did attempt to calm her down.”

According to the incident report, an officer responded to the school around 10:30 a.m. and was told Nadia, who was diagnosed with ADHD in 2017, was a “threat to herself and others.” She was sedated and released from the River Point Behavioral Health Facility after a mandatory 48-hour hold on Feb. 4.

Footage from responding officers’ body cam released on Thursday show the young girl walking out of the school, hand in hand with a Jacksonville the sheriff’s deputies.

The female officer can be heard telling Nadia that she was not going to jail and the young girl expresses excitement over getting to ride in the police cruise

Duval County Public schools in a statement to the News 4, said they never disputed Nadia was calm while leaving the school with officers.

“With regard to statements made on the video, note that the officers in the video were not present during the events which motivated the school to call Child Guidance, our crisis response care provider,” it reads.

“The police officers were also not present when Child Guidance was intervening with the student. It was the mental health counselor from Child Guidance, not the police officer or school personnel who made the Baker Act decision.”

How does this poor kid going to go back to school? Kids can be mean.

The little sweetie can go to private school after that.

There are so many other things that could have been done to calm the child and keep everyone safe.

I wonder if that school calls 911 on little white girls?
