he couldn't take it with him. Hopefully there was a huge estate tax due when he died.

Don't ya' think that many people here realize that, though?

That is a subtext to the entire show, along with the theocratic movement. Democracy has two major threats to its continuation and that is oligarchy and theocracy. It is interesting how much energy and propaganda was spent on how communism was the greatest threat to our "system" when those two ideologies are not at all compatible with democracy and, essentially, stand in opposition to it. So, if you want to talk about major threats, I think that sums it up.

Now, here we are in a prone position with plenty on our plates to keep us occupied, concerned and distracted. While Trump and His Majesty's Party throw buckets of garbage out on the collective, telling us it smells like roses, the masses and the media become a captive audience to a spectacle. In fact, I would call it a fabrication or the Simulation.

While we observe and encounter this show, (which has more than one ulterior motive) it is very easy to lose sight of how it conveniently detracts from moving forward and progressing with very important, systemic issues like the giant, economic vacuum of inequality and a list of other, crucial issues that are being sprayed over with seltzer water and slapped with whip cream pies.

What you are expressing is important and noteworthy, but perception is everything and we are being subjected to a reality TV show that could be called, Much Ado About Nothing, by comparison. It seems to work well and the consent factory is running at full capacity.

What do we do with that?

Assuming he inherited it at age 27 when his father died, inflation alone would have increased that to $76 billion. Like Trump, Koch was a "successful businessman" who lost huge amounts of money his whole life.

Some would be comforted by the fact that he probably lost it to other rich people, so the money wasn't bespoiled by the poor.
