Trump and Barr's campaign for an imperial presidency.

They sat there and hmmm and hawed and danced around what Trump is up to.

The characterized it as a move to a "powerful" executive. bee ess.

The media still haven't twigged to it or they don't have the stones to call it what it is.

GOP Presidents should have the powers of King, an authoritarian dictator, a Putin. It is as simple as that.

The GOP has turned on the Republic, on Democracy and on the Constitution.

They tried to do it with Nixon, too, who was mocked as "King Richard." There were plenty of related cartoons and caricatures, i.e.:

What it is, is a whole lot more blatant and openly aggressive now. They think they're so close that they can just bulldoze over any opposition.

had a good understanding of our Constitution - even though he tried to bend it all to his will.

The moron in OUR HOUSE has absolutely zero idea about how government is supposed to work. Hence, his remark the other day that he absolutely has the right to mess with the DOJ.

As bad as things have gotten - I have a day every now and again where I believe I can see some sunlight. That we haven't completely caved! It's a good feeling.

I'm quite certain that White House attorneys and staff have tried to educate him about what he can and can't do, but he doesn't care. I don't believe it's ignorance. It's the arrogance of an imperial mindset.

He started out in 2017 being annoyed by all the people trying to teach him about his new job. So he blew them all off, assuming that he was so brilliant that he could handle it. HE DOESN'T CARE! And now that the Senate has given him the green light, he's going to continue to do whatever the heck he wants.

GEEZ! HE JUST DOESN'T CARE.
