Average growth under Trump has outpaced Obama, but not all of his recent predecessors.

Most Retail Grocery Prices took a north ward spike in price increases since the first of the month.

Folks, you are now going to carry the load of all those leveraged Mergers and Take overs by Cerbus Capital and Amazon as well as the Tariffs being finally showing up on the Grocery Shelves.

I think people will be feeling the food prices more than ever.

It is interesting how we have gone from a more basic, supply and demand scenario, to several large companies that provide about 80% of the food and influence the price of food from production to retail. High food prices are more about that and the factors you brought up combined.

We may also notice that, other than sales and occasional fluctuation, seasonal or otherwise, much of our food does not go down in price, but only increases, regardless of the overall supply situation.

manager, whom I befriended over the years. Talk about their Retail frustrations of product hitting or coming close to hitting that magic Price Point where it does not move and you eat the loss.

Disposable incomes have been drying up since Reagan. Pass through price increases have been the norm since . But,since last Fall, thinks have accelerated. And now with the December 1st Sonny Predue tomb-stoning SNAP by adopting the Walker/Wisconsin Model. This Shit is about to get real serious damn quick.

That is one item that should be one every Campaign Bill Board. BTW,those so called Red States and Assisted living as well as Nursing homes will be hit the Hardest.

Thanks. I try to stay abreast of this stuff, but its not hard when you look at the screen on the register and your eyes bug out on the increase.

I am on a fixed amount for food, so I have become very sensitive to it because, instead of snarling at the inconvenience of paying more, I am forced to keep eating less. That's another problem with exorbitant food prices and steady and large increases, it has a major impact on low-income people and that leads to extreme malnutrition.

Of course, SNAP should be adjusted for the increases, but it isn't and hasn't been. For instance, over several years now, there was only a $2.00-per-month increase just recently, (my average food budget is $6.00-per-day and that "increase" added about $.06-cents-per-day. The initiatives to get people off of it and make eligibility more difficult are a distraction and are going in a dangerous direction, especially with the kind of increases coming that you mentioned. When it comes down to extreme hunger for adults, children and seniors, (in an insanely wealthy country) we don't know how and when that will boil over and/or impact our society in major ways.

Considering that you have recipients with little or no income who depend on it and also scores of working poor who barely get by on the "supplemental" aspect of it, a crises is looming. What makes it easier to play with is the terminology, methinks. Both the terms supplemental and assistance changed the ball game and they mean that they are only supplementing what you already have or get.

Mentioned this before, having a Sibling living in Wisconsin who is disabled with a Heart condition, heard it and seen just how ugly things have gotten for all those folks who are struggling not from their making.

America better wake up damn quick or you will have all your dependent and Elderly Relatives living in your spare room or your basement by this time next year if the Orange Anus is not deposed.

In fact, did you know that about 10,000 people are reaching 65 each day now, (boomers at retirement age)? From what I have read, roughly half of them have no assets, significant savings, pensions, etc.

Even as a approximation, that's about 150,000 monthly and 1.8-million yearly for the foreseeable future. There is an affordable housing crises that is worsening and little is being done to address it, (well, criminalize homelessness, or Trump camps, maybe).

Considering that, in this country, that roughly one out of four people has no one close to them as in friends, family or even a close confidant, and if you subtract those seniors who do have access to a spare room or basement provided by family or even friends, I think we are looking at scores of elders going homeless and living on the streets, (if they have a car or RV, well lucky them) one way or another.

Will it take stepping over them on the pavement to do anything about this, because I don't see much from the local or federal governments to stem the tide and address it as a true crisis?

many a time about the 1929 Crash and how it devastated the Nation. They being Farmers were able to some how survive and I mean survive. And they did what was know as taken in their grown Children and Grand Children because the Mills and Factories closed in what was known as the Cities.

As my Aunt who was one of those Taken In Family Members said, there were people sleeping in Door Ways up and down the streets because the Cops chased the people out of the Parks. The Parks were for those Rich folks who still had means.

While we are at it, let's not forget what Trump inherited from Obama and is now in the process of reversing, possibly to the point of disaster if it keeps up.
