I know you've seen headlines about former DOJ officials calling for AG Barr to resign, but read their actual letter.
This part strikes me as really important in terms of what happens next, and how the country can potentially pull back from the brink:
Medium.com link to the letter
"We call on every DOJ employee to be prepared to report future abuses to the Inspector General, the Office of Professional Responsibility, and Congress; to refuse to carry out directives that are inconsistent with their oaths of office...
"... to withdraw from cases that involve such directives or other misconduct; and, if necessary, to resign and report publicly in a manner consistent with professional ethics to the American people the reasons for their resignation."
"We support and commend the four prosecutors who upheld their oaths and stood up for the Depts independence by withdrawing from the Stone case and/or resigning from DOJ. Our message to them is that we and millions of other Americans stand with them."

Of course, her show will be especially "must watch" in the wake of the letter's release.

(139 posts)I caught her show the other evening when she was going over the letter. Taking an oath to uphold the Constitution is a heavy burden but it is one of the most important pledges any civil servant, core or citizen can take. You never think you will be called upon to put that oath into action and that's why it's so important when that time does come.

(16,926 posts)Sorry, gotta' ask.
Let's talk about the 4 attorneys that resigned from the Stone case, one of whom even left the Justice Department.
I know we all think attorneys are "rolling in it" but seriously, how will they continue their current style of living?
I think the other 3 will just report back to their past position in the department, but what about that one guy?
Where's he getting the money to pay the bills?
Is he still covered with medical insurance?
And related to all of that - what about FBI agent McCabe?
He was just cleared in an inquiry about his "conduct."
Does that mean he can get "back-pay?"
How has he been paying his bills since IQ45 threw him out?
Please understand, I totally support their stands and positions.
Is that enough?
Is there more that we can do on their behalf?
We're fighting a monster - they've been on the front line.
Tell us what we can do.

I hope.

@EricHolder
To the men and women of DOJ/FBI: do NOT resign, stay strong, in all your actions be true to the oath you have sworn, report wrongdoing. The era of Trump and Barr will pass-their slander, insults and corrupt acts will end. We - the American people - respect & believe in you.
