Number of DoJ alumni signed on to the letter over 2000(!) now

Mimi Rocah ✔@Mimirocah1

Update: over 2000(!) former bi-partisan DOJ officials have signed. Tremendous, unified statement, by people who care deeply about DOJ & know how it’s been run for decades, that what Trump/Barr are doing is simply not normal and is dangerous.

Mimi Rocah ✔@Mimirocah1

Very proud that so many former DOJ officials (myself included) are speaking out about Barr. 1100 in just a short time & growing via ⁦@nytimes⁩ ⚖️🙏⚖️

A sobering note from Professor Tribe:

Laurence Tribe ✔@tribelaw

This bipartisan statement is far from routine. In fact, I know of absolutely no precedent. DOJ alumni don’t call for an Attorney General’s resignation lightly. Or over mere policy differences. This is about turning the Justice Department into a tool of political revenge & reward.

Laurence Tribe ✔@tribelaw

I’m proud to join 2000+ of my fellow DOJ alumni in standing up for the rule of law and the integrity of the Department. You can read our full statement here: https://medium.com/@dojalumni/doj-alumni-statement-on-the-events-surrounding-the-sentencing-of-roger-stone-c2cb75ae4937

If anything - that opposition probably makes Barr more appealing to Trump - as the people who have signed are part of 45's 'deep state'.
