At yesterday's annual Presidents Day Parade in Alexandria, I saw...

a contingent from "American Heritage Girls". Apparently established by the Catholic Church in the 90s to compete with the "not religious enough" Girl Scouts....

Actually, the GS accept a modern role for women on social and political issues, so ... waaaaay too "modern" for the Church.
