At five thirty eight you can select likely or registered voters and the result is:

disapprove 51.6% and
approve 44.7%

I am astounded that this evil man has such a large approval rating.

that has been growing in years since the termination of the fairness doctrine. Faux News, Alex Jones, Breitbart and the like have all laid the groundwork, but it was a man of such low character as Donald Trump who could actually ascend to the highest office in the land on the proposition that you can’t believe your own eyes and ears. It’s all “Fake News”. Even Fox; if they dare to criticize him, instantly become “fake news”. The greatest damage DT has done to the public discourse is that people no longer believe in or trust objective reality. When shown proof of his corruption, even to the extent of billions owed to shady Russian oligarchs, or admission,in writing, of attempts to bribe/extort Ukraine to dig up dirt on the Bidens, they just shrug and go “meh; you say it’s criminal, he says it’s normal or even perfect; who’s to say who’s right?”.

This explain the high approval ratings; people who have chosen to support Trump do not believe there is even such a thing as proof or evidence; everyone is lying, every news outlet has a secret agenda, there is no way to really know what is true, so they might as well stick with the one they already chose.

Again, this is the greatest damage he done to our democracy, to our public discourse; in the minds of many people there is now no such thing as “the truth”.

And some just don't pay attention. I have no sympathy for apathetic people when they suffer the consequences of their lack of desire to keep informed.

like him but don't do crap about it. I've known people that complain all the time about things, but it's too much effort for them to even vote or contribute for worthy causes. They seem to think the country just runs itself and they are helpless.

And will not listen to the news because of how much bad news is a result of him, his hatred, etc.

Will she vote for him in 2020 - well, she is a Christian so if Pete wins, you bet; if Liz or Amy wins, you bet; if Sanders wins - you bet. It’s all about Christian values. But she also acknowledges that anyone that doesn’t believe as she does - is not religious and have a false religion. I wonder where does this crap come from? She gives money to programs that provide money to Christians in foreign Countries, but would allow a welfare mother/children to starve to death here.

There is a level of insanity that I just do not understand. Of course she doesn’t know or read anything historical (...Germany...) and doesn’t believe it could happen here. And if it did, I am sure that at some point she would be sorry it happened and would wonder why it happened.

If the Democratic nominee is a Liz or Amy, Pete or Sanders - she will vote for Trump in a heartbeat. All of the good things of our nominee, all the evil that Trump has done and will do, does not override her views based on her understanding of the Bible.

Waaaa...making me sick thinking about it.

Not to be confused with the building at 1111 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC 20224, which is full of spammers, scammers and imposters.

And I'm willing to bet there's another 2 or 3 percent who know they will vote for him but won't admit it to anyone.

So the real answer is: he's got a lot more support than he should.
