Per NYT: **Ron Blagojavich's sentence has been commuted by tRump**

Just got this in my email from NYT.

By commuting the sentence, the president would free Mr. Blagojevich from prison without wiping out the conviction. Republicans have advised the president against it, arguing that Mr. Blagojevich’s crime epitomizes the corruption that Mr. Trump had said he wanted to tackle as president.

The president’s decision came the same day that he pardoned Edward J. DeBartolo Jr., a former owner of the San Francisco 49ers who pleaded guilty in 1998 to concealing an extortion attempt and eventually surrendered control of his team.

You do NOT have to use a shotgun, dynamite or large rock to get that thing off of your tv. It's tempting, but please resist.

(resigning, moving on to other things, etc.) and thus, doing the pardons while he can?

this is just another move to blow up the norms of the system.

This is not a retreating move, it is another step toward his and his family ascending to become our first dictators.

Still, he's served 8 years of his 14-year sentence. He wouldn't have been eligible for parole until his 12th year (85% of his sentence). It was an unusually stiff sentence, but still galling that the felon whose sentence is being commuted is being granted early release by a fellow felon. (alliteration intended)

His pardons connecting to him after he does them will be reversed since they were co-conspirators committing crimes with him.

This is not even remotely a getting ready to resign moment.

It is another chip at the norms of the system toward his aim to NOT EVER leave the office.

I seriously doubt Trump is contemplating resignation, people. He's far too invested in his delusional magnificence to give this up -- and far too useful to those still propping him up -- for him to exit the White House in any way except a stretcher.

It doesn't overshadow Deutsche Bank, Barr, etc etc etc.

It's another Celebrity Apprentice stunt, a distraction. Screw Trump, and screw Blago.
