Is this a way Republicans have come up with

to suppress the vote? Today I went to renew my drivers license in Ohio. I got a notice with my car registration that said when
I renewed my license I needed my original birth certificate or a certified copy, or my passport, two documents to verify my address
and a W2 or a 1099 with my SS number on it or my SS card. So I took the required documents with me and had no problems. Then this afternoon another person said he didn't need anything. He said they asked him if ever traveled by air. When you get a new license they
say you need a star on your license to fly, he didn't have that star. What I am questioning is when someone goes to vote and they don't have the star on their license will they have to bring those documents to vote since they weren't verified as citizens. I am thinking is that a way to deny lower income people from voting or is it really for homeland security?

This law was enacted under the Obama admin, they just kept pushing back the go date. The October 2020 deadline date for real ID in order to fly and access federal facilities has been rock solid since before Trump was elected.

Some became compliant years ago- but others have waited and are just now starting to run around trying to pull it together.

Most states did so with driver's license years ago, but some states resisted. The deadline is near, so you are caught up in it, having gotten your previous license presumedly before all the verification processes.

Here... you can read about it here:

to suppress the vote or what. So if you show up to the polls and your license doesn't have that stamp or you have a state
ID they won't demand a birth certificate or other proof you are a citizen?
