President Trump believes that he can assail LTC Vindman with impunity, knowing that the latter is, by law, barred from speaking out. The President should know, however, that, despite taking aim at one Army officer, he has targeted anyone who currently wears or has worn the uniform. Our service members and veterans deserve the confidence of knowing that our elected leaders will come to their defense, just as they remain vigilant for ours.
LTC Vindman and all of his colleagues should know that we stand with them even when their Commander-in-Chief does not. For all of us, right still matters, just as we know it does for them, too.

(6,407 posts)This is a critical statement. Putin's puppet is dismantling military cohesion, the very concept of justice, and our diplomatic corps.

(23,335 posts)For many of us, it is not often that we inject our voices into the national dialogue, but this is a moment that demands it. That is because we consider President Trumps sustained attacks on an active duty Army officer, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, to be an affront to the Constitution that we have all sworn to uphold. We are speaking out precisely because neither LTC Vindman nor his fellow active-duty service members can.
The Presidents actions and insults towards LTC Vindman are not only wrong, they carry dangerous implications. The dismissal of LTC Vindman and his brother, also an Army Lieutenant Colonel, from the National Security Council staff appears to be motivated by nothing more than political retribution and deprives the White House of expertise necessary to defend our collective national security. The manner of these dismissals suggests that the Commander-in-Chief has prioritized a personal vendetta over our national security.
BRAVO!

(2,274 posts).... any other way to sign this? I do not and WILL not use anything from Google. Period. Nothing from the Alphabet organization soils my computer and I aim to keep it that way.
THIS veteran is as outraged by the treatment of our active service members and veterans as any other of us are. But I cannot force myself to use anything by this ............. company.

Hope you're using a basic flip phone, a winbox with Win95 and the first version of Internet Explorer. That's probably the only way you can completely escape Google.

(2,274 posts)a flip phone. I don't allow 3rd party cookies. I use Tor as a browser. I clean cookies and trackers at least once an hour. The only google related crap on my machine are the trackers it leaves but you can mitigate them if you want to bad enough.
I don't like your insinuation either btw.

I answered that I wished her comment was funny. But she wore the uniform and the man in the White House didnt.
Curious to see how many signatures will finally be on it when all is said and done.
