THIS says it all. The glaring difference between the two parties

On the commutation of former Illinois Governor Blagojevich:

“Eleven years ago, I voted to convict and remove a member of my own party who abused his office to further his own re‑election.

I wish that Republicans in the U.S. House and Senate had shown similar courage when a leader in their party abused his office to further his own re-election.

If that had happened, we would not be dealing with this today.
It is some comfort, however, that my motion to bar our former governor from ever holding public office again means he will no longer be able to abuse the public trust.”

State Treasurer Mike Frerichs

Note: Blagojevich was impeached by the Illinois House and removed from office by the Illinois Senate in January of 2009.

My money is on his moving down to Florida.

Have knowingly promoted putin inspired propaganda they knew was false, and that alone should cause everyone serious concerns where their government is headed under trump and the GOP control. No matter who gets the Democrat nomination, everyone should agree they are much much better then trump and the GOP have been, with everything from health care, Social Security, the rule of law, and to corruption they are involved in. We're headed towards like putin has in russia where only the most corrupt and evil prosper, while everyone else suffers. trump and the GOP have approved election fixing now by not holding him accountable, for anything. That's a national disgrace our system of government is being undermined by putin and trump , and the GOP now.

They didn't work this hard to let an election take it away. They're betting that Americans are too preoccupied, unmotivated, and lazy to mount much of a response. I fear they are right. I guess we'll know a year from now.

8 years is a long time. he's got no future. i give no credit to trump for humanitarianism however, it's just more of him uplifting criminals so people who are not his fans are hurt. this one i can totally let roll off my back.

if he'd been a republican he would have been out ages ago if he'd ever set foot inside a cell.

and i give no credit to trump for having a humanitarian cell in his body.
But for perspective: nobody died. my daughter died, and her killer spent 2 years and 3 months in prison.
I didn't say i was happy about it, i said i don't mind it. it wasn't on my mind at all tbh until this happened.

I worked with an elderly gal right before she retired......sometimes she would mention a daughter, I knew something had happened but did not know what. One day she mentioned her and I said, "Do you mind if I asked what happened to her?". She was silent for a moment and then she said simply, "She was murdered." It had happened thirty or so years ago, some kind of gang initiation thing. It's something I have never been able to reconcile, how I would feel, losing someone to murder, and I hope I never find out. So heartbreaking, just too hard to understand.

that was terrible for your friend. my daughter was run over by an angry drunk. she was charged with murder but then they let her plead out and was sentenced to only 4 years. it was like they killed Bekah all over again when that happened. I want you to know that I am reasonably happy - Bekah died a lot of years ago and I've come a long, long way.
