(5,044 posts)Where is the substance? Where? She is running (so far) on talking points....
Care Acutely
(1,370 posts)essentially ate each other whole. She was the only one at the end of the primaries that wasn't armpit deep in mud. But she's a complete tool, and not a very bright one either.

(13,190 posts)I think the Democrats could have come up with a better candidate than Kerrey http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2012/election_2012_senate_elections/nebraska/election_2012_nebraska_senate

(33,358 posts)Bob Kerrey came, as did Ben Nelson and Ted Sorensen (Kennedy's speech writer).
Kerrey headed straight for the kitchen and stayed--perched on a bar stool at the
kitchen counter. Wish I'd had more time to chat with him but I was busy
running around playing 'hostess'.
Nebraska has moved very far right since we lived there. When we moved
there in 1994, it was all Dem leadership. Now it's all right wing Republicans, with
the exception of Nelson as a right wing Dem.
We also met Mike Johanns at a party when we first moved there...before he
became Mayor Mikey of Lincoln. What an unimpressive guy. Really.
So, watch out. Deb Fischer probably has a good chance.
When we moved in 2000 I said the state motto for Nebraska should be "ignorant
and proud of it".
