(6,785 posts)An actual theologian with brains has decided to throw the entire weight of his scholarship (as well as a s**tton of irony) at analyzing everything in the Bible about how to recognize the Antichrist. It's a long read (though broken up with illustrations) but IMO worth every second it takes.
The remark (near the end) which had me being very grateful I had nothing in my mouth when I was reading it was this:
Well, we know the Antichrist hates God and doesnt worship him but the Bible *does* actually let us in on a secret and tells us who the Antichrist does worship and spoiler: its not actually Satan..
Drum roll please ..
The Antichrist will worship the god of border walls

I surely thought so. I've seen some of his work before, as someone whose comments I follow on Disqus reads him a lot. On thie strength f this article, I subscribed myself.

A little context: the cartoonist, Dave Willis, grew up in a strict conservative evangelical household, and Joyce, the little kid/older kid/young woman in this progression is something of an alter-ego of his about how that bubble bursts for some people, and of some of the hypocrisies that manifest in the people for whom it doesn't burst.
